CREATION
GRAPE: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
TERROIR
The vineyards of Château Puybarbe are located in Mombrier, within the Côtes de Bourg appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. The vines grow on well-drained, limestone-rich clay soils.
WINEMAKING
Traditionally vinified at Château Puybarbe, allowing the fruit and distinctive character of the Côtes de Bourg terroir to remain at the forefront.
AGEING
Aged for 6 to 7 months in oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Soft red colour.
SMELL: Elegant earthy aromas of red and dark berries, clay and a touch of vanilla.
TASTE: Soft, fresh and subtle, with ripe red-fruit flavours, mineral notes, a light rustic character and a gentle oak finish.
