TERROIR
100% estate-grown fruit from Mandala’s Dixon’s Creek vineyard in the Yarra Valley, a cool-climate region known for producing elegant, structured Cabernet-based wines.
WINEMAKING
Selectively harvested to retain whole berries. Two separate Cabernet batches were vinified in open pot fermenters, with daily hand plunging for gentle extraction. One component was pressed early to preserve fruit vibrancy, while the other underwent extended maceration for added structure and length.
AGEING
Aged for 18 months in French oak, bringing subtle cedar, spice and refined structural depth to the wine.
TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Deep ruby red.
SMELL: Red and black currants, cassis, red cherry and raspberry, layered with tobacco, cedar and sweet spice.
TASTE: Smooth, elegant and finely structured, with bright red-fruit flavours, salted cherry notes, fresh acidity and long, fine tannins
