CREATION
GRAPE: 62% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec.
TERROIR
Vines are grown on a sun-drenched, south-facing plateau at the highest point of the Côtes de Bourg appellation. The calcareous-clay soils, low yields and sustainable vineyard management contribute to the wine’s concentration and freshness.
WINEMAKING
Meticulously selected grapes undergo a 4-day cold maceration, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. A long and gentle 45-day extraction is carried out through parcel-by-parcel vinification, preserving fruit purity, elegance and structure.
AGEING
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, using 50% new oak and 50% second-fill barrels from three coopers with light to medium toast. The wine is then further aged in bottle for more than 20 months.
