CREATION
GRAPE: 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah.
TERROIR
The vineyards are located in the southern part of the Rasteau appellation, on south-facing slopes protected from the Mistral wind. The soils are composed of ancient stony terraces, sandy marl and Pliocene clay.
WINEMAKING
Part of the harvest is vinified in whole clusters, while the remainder is destemmed. Temperatures are carefully controlled throughout fermentation, with extraction carried out by cap punching and pumping over. Malolactic fermentation follows.
AGEING
90% of the wine is aged in stainless-steel vats, while 10% is matured in large oak foudres for one year, creating a supple and silky texture.
TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Elegant velvety garnet red with bright highlights.
SMELL: Mineral-driven aromas of black cherries and spices, with delicate smoky notes.
TASTE: Full-bodied and well balanced, with black-fruit and garrigue flavours, silky tannins and a long, fresh finish.
ALCOHOL: 13.5% Vol.
