CREATION
GRAPE: 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre.
TERROIR
A selection of more than 250 parcels, mainly located in the southern Rhône Valley. The old vines, aged between 45 and 100 years, grow on diverse clay, pebble, limestone and sandy soils.
WINEMAKING
Harvest dates are determined through daily berry tasting, followed by manual harvesting. Fermentation takes place at moderate temperatures to allow a gentle extraction of aromatic compounds.
AGEING
Short ageing: 80% of the blend is matured in concrete vats to preserve fruit purity, while the remaining 20% is aged in wooden truncated-cone vats.
TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Garnet red with purple highlights.
SMELL: Red-fruit aromas layered with sweet spices and liquorice.
TASTE: Ample, fresh and juicy, with silky tannins and a long, vivid finish.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14–16°C.
